What is the Prairie Scratch Tour?

The Prairie Scratch Tour (PST), a Non-Profit Organization, Tees Off in 2022 for its Inaugural Season, With a mission to amplify competitive amateur golf opportunities across the prairies.

In 2024, the season will feature a series of events throughout Manitoba, each showcasing 60 of the region's finest amateur players.

The coveted Art Johnston Cup awaits the season's top performer, determined by points earned across both Prairie Scratch Tour and Golf Manitoba events, cementing their legacy in Manitoba Golf History.

At Prairie Scratch Tour, our aim is to cultivate a dynamic community of passionate amateur golfers, united in their love for the sport. 

We're committed to providing a platform where players of every skill level can revel in the thrill of competition, forge lasting bonds, and chart personal growth through the beautiful game of golf.

The Prairie Scratch Tour will follow the guidelines provided by Golf Canada, USGA & the R&A.  

Rule 3: Prizes

a. Scratch Competitions

An amateur playing in a scratch competition is allowed to accept any prize, including prize money, up to a limit of $1200 CAD in value, per competition, unless the national governing body has set a lower limit.

For the purposes of these Rules, a scratch competition is a competition that does not have a net score element in any part of the competition and handicaps must not be used to separate players into different scratch categories. Any competition that is not a scratch competition is a handicap competition.
