Ryan McMillan Win's Inagural Art Johnston Trophy.

Ryan McMillan fires 68-73(-4) to win the Prairie Scratch Tour, Tour Championship and Art Johnston trophy. The Elmhurst stud had finished second at the summer showdown just a week after making the cut in the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship. Starting 1 shot back of point leader Jordy Lutz, Ryan quickly grabbed the lead on day one making 5 birdies in his first 13 holes. On the final day in tough windy fall like conditions Mr McMillan tapped in a 1 foot putt to win the Tour Championship by 2 strokes over Braxton Kuntz & Troy Kehler.

The summer showdown was the last regular season event on the Prairie Scratch Tour, and the last chance to earn a spot in the Tour Championship. After missing the cut at the Canadian Men's Mid Amateur in Toronto at The Thornhill Club, the Jordy put together 2 solid rounds for a total of 143 (-1) to win the summer Showdown by 4 strokes. With this win Jordy will be the man to beat at the Tour championship hosted at Breezy Bend Country club, septemeber 10-11. Jordy will start the tour championship with a 1 stroke lead over 5 players ranked 2-6, and a 2 stroke lead over the remaining 10 players.

2022 Selkirk Shootout Champions

Curtis Markusson & Neel Soni are victorious in the inaugural Selkirk 2-Man Better Ball Shootout. Curtis & Neel shot back to back 63s to finish the event at 16 under par. An impressive display of golf which rewarded with a 2 strokes victory over Evan Nachtigall & Ryden Hargreaves. Curtis and Neel are the first recipients of the coveted Better Ball Championship Tag Team Belts as well as a cheque for $1000 each.

The Brandon native shot 3-under 69 to take a two-stroke lead over Braxton Kuntz into the final round of the Prairie Scratch Tour’s inaugural event at Grand Pines Golf Course. He delivered with a 71 on Monday to beat the NCAA Division I rookie by a single shot, taking home a cool $1,000. Nachtigall also claimed 750 points to help qualify for the tour’s championship this fall.
